The situation,

A number of movies exist on an Apache server using PHP. These movies
contain promotional material and may change from time to time. A container
movie makes a request to the server for the list movies to be played. It
then needs to request from the server each movie in its turn and play it.
When the end of the list is reached, the process starts over again.

Is flash capable of doing this?

The way I see it, the list of movies can be obtained by using LoadVars().
If I am interpreting the documentation correctly, PlayMovie doesn't block.
When it is called, it starts the movie and returns immediately. Is this
correct?

If I am correct on the above, then I need some listener to listen for a
"movie finished" event so that the currently playing movie is unloaded when
it is finished and the next movie is loaded and played in turn. I think
this would require variable declarations on a global level.

Can flash support this?

Thanks in advance
Owen
