nahh... simple loop getting the dimensions as you load them. Stick the 
whole lot into an array and they you can sort them in memory easily. Or 
scan through the array and find the largest one and create a grid based 
on that. Lots of ways of doing it I think.

Glad you got animated GIFs working well though!

Not so easy, as you'll have to chop up your text either side of the 
emote... I'm not sure if Flash's HTML engine can cope with inline 
images! So.... [text MC] [emote MC] [another text mc]... that will be 
really nasty! I wanted inline smileys too in our blog engine, but it was 
just to complicated. Unless anyone has a good solution?
